Paper Towels Part II

Here's a video of the action...we happened to be at the right place at the right time (with the camera)!!!

Notice the enthusiasm in his destruction...we're not sure where that comes from but thankfully he reserves it for paper towels and cardboard boxes!!! (sorry the file is so large, we got a little carried away watching)

Paper Towels

Ryan left a roll of paper towels on the floor while we were painting and when we came back this is what the roll looked like...

Bruce

Sorry for the lack of pictures of the new addition but he's been busy recovering from surgery (he is now minus two male parts). At the vet we discovered that our wonderful boy had gained 18 pounds in about 1 week (yes I said 18)! This puts him at a comfortable 88lbs. I have a feeling that by the end of this month that number might be closer to 100!

This is a picture of Bruce at Ryan's parent house...he was laying on his new bed and playing with the new squeaky walrus. So far he loves plush toys that he can really sink his teeth into. He could care less about tennis balls or sticks. If he does chase anything it would be one of us or Ryan's garden gloves!

Finally, here he is looking at me like I'm crazy or maybe he thought the camera was a bone...

Champ

We have decided that its time that we had a 4-legged friend around the house and what better place to get one than at a local shelter. We found Champ online using Petfinder. This friday (02/15) he will be coming to stay with us for what we hope will be for good! He's a Labrador Retriever and Great Dane mix. Right now he's a little underweight due to the stress of living in a kennel at a local vets office but we hope to fix that really soon.

As you can see...he's a very handsome boy!

Per Aunt Kim's suggestion his birthday has been decided to be Bastille Day (July 14th). His name could therefore be short for Champs-Elysee.

Updates

I know its been a while since my last post but here's a few things that have happened in the interim:

1. Christmas - it was a quiet day as Ryan's parents were in Vegas with his brother. We watched movies, cooked and ran some errands.

2. Hilton Head - We left on December 27th for a week in Hilton Head. What a great time...we relaxed, rode bikes, walked on the beach and ate and ate and ate. Ryan, never having been in the south before was able to experience Cracker Barrel, Sticky Fingers and sand hard enough to ride your bike on.

3. Kim and Graham's visit - It was a great weekend filled with efficient tourism, game playing and game watching. Too bad they were only here for a couple of days!!!

Its now February 1st and we're at home relaxing. I'm fighting off some kind of weird flu and Ryan is busily preparing for his trip to San Jose (training). They're calling for more rain this weekend...I know we need it but it would be nice to have some sunny sundays. Next weekend we're off to Napa for some wine tasting and tasty food!

More later...
