Skyline

This is a view of the San Gabriel Mountains during winter. Yes, we do have winter here in Los Angeles although it tends to stay in the mountains.

Who wouldn't love to have this view?? See, there might actually be something good about living in Southern California!

New Driveway

As some of you may or may not know, Ryan and I have been struggling with a significant lack of parking on our street. You can't tell by this picture as it was taken during working hours but usually the street is full leaving us nowhere to park (and nowhere for our friends and family to park either). As a result we decided that a driveway was in order...yes we already have one (its not long enough to fit my car and my car is small compared to Ryan's truck) but its only purpose is for driving into the garage not for parking.

This pretty picture was taken as they were putting the finishing touches on the new driveway. ITS SOOOOOO PRETTY!

FYI - we live on a corner so don't worry we don't have 2 driveways in our front yard...the other one is on the other side of the house!

Quick Trip

This year for Thanksgiving Ryan and I traveled to PA for some Lancaster County fun. We were there for only 2.5 days but it was good to be home, see the family and have some fall/winter weather for a change.

Thanksgiving dinner was really great: stuffing, turkey, corn pudding, sweet potatoes, green beans and apple cider....mmmmm! To bad I couldn't take some home with me.

We left on saturday morning (bright and early) and arrived back in Los Angeles to forest fires, santa ana winds and 70 degree weather!

Now that we're back the work on the house continues...pulling molding off the walls to add carpet, painting, fence work and hopefully new sofas! We will post pictures when the madness dies down a bit.

3. Dad's stuffing (dressing/filling...whatever you want to call it)

4. Turkey leftovers

5. Football

Beginnings

My sister suggested that I create a blog to make it easier for friends and family to keep updated on the happenings in our lives. Over the next few months I hope to provide updates on the house, school, work and general life stuff.
